The logo is usually the first thing that people see when viewing your product and it is the thing that most people remember. If you have a cool looking and memorable logo then it makes a lasting impression.....which is your ultimate goal in the first place.
My recommendation would be to do forum posts, blog posts, and write articles about information found on your site. You can submit these articles to article directories such as Ezine, GoArticles, etc. By doing these things, you will gain backlinks and the search engines will rank your site higher.
