Its interesting to know that Yahoo Maps are used extensively in Japan and preferred over Google Maps -- because I have always seen the reverse.

And though its a possiblity, its always tough breaking into a market predominated by someone. I mean why do we normally move to something else -- only when its better than the current one and has better functionality to offer. Try to come up with a feature of Google products you don't like and you would know what I am trying to say.. ;-)

But yes, if MS has any hope of getting into the search or web market, it would definately not be from scratch. Ah and not to forget that 'impossible is nothing'. So we just sit tight and wait for furthur developments.

I seriously doubt Google would be in any way affected by this tie up. I mean come on, when we think of search, we think of Google. I have even see lots of people use the term 'Google it'.

And with the power of innovative thinking at its side (read Picassa and the likes), I seriously doubt they would be concerned.

Yeah I got hold of the real culprit. And since currently normal members can't hand out negative reputation, I could have settled the score. Its a pity I am not built that way.

Nice that I can see who repped me. WIsh I could control the rep points I give to someone.

No need to change your signature. You make all the mods and administrators seem like Hitler's. We don't ban someone for email id in their signature. The past record of the member is also kept in mind and considering you have been a good kid, chances of you getting banned are null.

You have to actually come up with something to have something. Was IQ present from the time dinosaurs roamed this very place? I guess no. Someone 'came' up with it. Everything looks logical if presented in a slick way.

~s.o.s~ 2,560 Failure as a human Team Colleague Featured Poster

What's so stupid about it? I directed you to a portal, whose job is to direct you to the relevant site. If you already knew about it, you shouldn't have asked the question in the first place.

~s.o.s~ 2,560 Failure as a human Team Colleague Featured Poster

but people have an IQ value associated to them. So by categorizing a person's IQ we are really just categorizing them.

Intelligence and wisdom are two different things.

A smart man is known by the answer he gives -- a wise man by the question he asks.

This just proves that IQ stands for nothing other than a feature invented for the leisure of few who were smart enough to come up with it.

True. I was aware of black and white. I wonder where that green came from... ;-)

Kids nowadays hate to see the console screen blinking in front of them. A slick GUI demonstrating fibonacci generation would be more like it. ;-)

> Why don't you or the admins step in and give your humble opinions on the subject.

Because its a fragile topic bound to cause a lot of hue and cry if spoken on. Its a wise choice to not to speak about something than speaking about it and preparing oneself for becoming a flame bait.

~s.o.s~ 2,560 Failure as a human Team Colleague Featured Poster

> I am not saying that IQ means everything.

> OK I am categorizing a person's IQ not the person.

Good -- now we are getting somewhere.

~s.o.s~ 2,560 Failure as a human Team Colleague Featured Poster

WTF? That's one of the biggest piles of crap you've piled on this discussion (or so I hope... I missed 30 pages of it).

haha okay. Perhaps you should try reading more.. Go get an education somewhere.. Maybe they can help your foolishness..

At least Christina and those other Christians were somewhat open-minded. You are just plain ignorant. lol..

Actually, I don't want to waste my time on you. You are obviously a closed-mined fool. You don't see anything, you are only defensive.. your posts are idiotic..

Maybe its a reason enough to close the thread.

> If we do not categorize people how can we do anything?

You don't categorize humans, you categorize information. 100 people bought candles, 50 bought bulbs. You don't categorize people who bought candles and bulbs -- you categorize the information and use it. There is a difference you know.

int isPalindrome ( const char *word )
{

  int count = 0;

  while ( word[count] != '\0' )
    ++count;

  int half = count / 2;
  int j;

Any reason for not using strlen ? :-)

No.

Stop categorizing people. Its the sickest thing one can do.

With so less information it is difficult to render any sort of help. Given the current scenario it seems that the problem is not with your code but with your path settings.

~s.o.s~ 2,560 Failure as a human Team Colleague Featured Poster

BTW, its not a problem with your program, its a problem with the text editor which are not intelligent enough to make out the newlines. You could of course try using the 'newline' property of the System class but again with an editor like Notepad, the results are not very promising.

Do we just keep on counting?

~s.o.s~ 2,560 Failure as a human Team Colleague Featured Poster

Maybe this site.

~s.o.s~ 2,560 Failure as a human Team Colleague Featured Poster

The masses are people with an IQ of 100 +/- 10. The "masses" make up over 80% of society.

Stop categorizing people. Its the sickest thing one can do. And whats the big deal about IQ. In real life it doesn't prove anything. All the great people who were born were not measured by their IQ but their deeds.

Maybe 14 years of your life is not enough for you to be making such conclusions. Looking down on others would not get you far.

Hmm its strange but the spell checker which was working 6 hours back is no longer working for me. I am using Firefox 2.0 on Win 2003. Maybe its the changes you made recently.

Also the spell checker works on other sites like Devshed and the likes so I guess it must be a problem with the site.

Here is a crude attempt -- feel free to modify and polish it.

#include <iostream>
#include <stack>
#include <map>
#include <string>
#include <iterator>

using namespace std;

int main()
{
    stack<char> list;
    map<char, char> symbols;
    map<char, char>::iterator it;
    const string VALID = "(){}";
    symbols['('] = ')';
    symbols['{'] = '}';

    char symbol = 0;

    while(symbol != '#')
    {
        cin >> symbol;
        getchar();

        if(VALID.find(symbol) != string::npos)
        {
            if(!list.empty() && ((symbols[list.top()] == symbol)))
            {
                list.pop();
            }
            else
            {
                list.push(symbol);
            }
        }
    }

    if(list.size() == 0)
        cout << "Its a well formed expression";
    else
    {
        cout << "Its not a well formed expression";
        cout << "The excess characters are: " << endl;
        while( !list.empty() )
        {
            cout << list.top() << '\n';
            list.pop();
        }
    }
    getchar();
}
