hi,i am a student of computer engineering.i have good knowledge in C language.now i am thinking about learning S.Q.L ,database management systems,all that stuff.
i am in a bit of confusion.is it necessary to learn java before going for SQL. please tell me.

no, Java has nothing to do with SQL. And it is a good thing learning SQL, you will have to use it sooner or later...

When that is said, SQL it self does not build any applications. It is only for use when finding data in the database. So the next step will be to learn, Java, C#, VB, ASP.net and so on....
