I created an instance and did some fault while moving the files from one location to other
and now the server doesnt start
and i need to execute a query in SQL SERVER Management studio
in order to open a new query feature it again ask to start the server..the server doesnt start
is there any way to execute my query other than management studio??
can we open our instance in management studio with out starting the server????

Check the services applet in Control Panel. Are the SQL services started? If not, check the system and application logs in Computer Management for more information about why the service(s) did not start.
it shows that the server didnt start in timely fashion and asked to check the server logs
