Hi all,

I'm new at programming in Perl script, and I really need help with this:

I want to make a Perl script which returns current version of some software installed on the system (for example current version of Macromedia FlashPlayer).

The system on which I'm writing the script (and from which I want to retrieve that
value) is WIN, so is it possible to retrieve the value from Registry Editor somehow.. and how? (example path - for FlashPlayer in regedit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia\FlashPlayer).
