Hi,

I am looking for a tool in python which can build a model based on some set of training documents with manually assigned keywords. And then it uses that model to extract keywords from new documents. I want to know whether using NLTK can I do this?

Exploring the Natural Language Toolkit (NLTK) for Python sounds like a very interesting project! I will take a closer look at it.

It could very well be overkill depending. Some more info would help, but I would suggest that you start with some of your own code to find out what you want and don't want to do. Once some of the parameters are defined, it will be an easier decision.
