i want to know how do we access a web site's data to be displayed on my application e.g. like i want to create an application that looks up some investing site and displays current stock and share values on my desktop.
I have already in mind that the application will have a chat like structure, with constant time divided refresh rates.

Actually my friend is starting up a website for English premier league scores constantly updating themselves.
I am trying to submit a windows based application which will not require a user to actually browse to that page..
Since you asked, is it possible that contant can be routed through a website's HTML page that is generated in a browser without actually needing to open the page by using a browser like page request that the application understands in it's own way...
