how do establish socket connection over local firewall...
i creating TCP socket program in java ..
it is working fine when firewall is in OFF...
but it is not in case of ON...
I DON'T like to switch off firewall..i like to make it genuine...
any idea please...(i don't like any application server based solution..)

Configure the firewall to allow the connection.
Edit: IOW it is not a Java problem, it is a system configuration problem. If you do not know how to configure your firewall, then read it's documentation or contact its support.
