How can I protect/lock a drive from deleting files and format it ?
Is there a way to hook a drive?

Yeah.A drive can be locked.
But for better security you must encrypt the contents of the drive.
But this will prevent the file from being read by any one else.
But it will not prevent formatting.

I suppose there is an api to hook a drive
