hey there.. i m a begineer in this java..
i m developing a simple database program to keep records of patients for a small organization in netbeans 7.0 beta. i havn't developed the whole software.. when i test, it doesn't gives errors at first.. when i press the add record button, it gives following error messages..

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: AddFrame

Where is the class: AddFrame. The JVM can't find it.

You must have all the classes needed by the program on the classpath. One way this is done is by putting them all into a jar file. This must be done carefully to preserve the package paths to each of the class files.

There is probably a setup problem with your IDE. Check that it is configured properly.

netbeans provides some of its own api's as part of the UI development, fortunatly, that isn't the problem here..

looks like you've developed (compiled ) the jar in 1 JVM & are running it in a different (older) one.

please check the version of JVM being used while testing & the version used while developing..

It would be a different error message if incompatible versions of java were used.
Here I compile with 1.6 and execute with 1.4:

java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: TestCode3 (Unsupported major.minor version 50.0)

thankx for ur replies.. the problem is solved..
I changed some code in addframe and saved..
then again i changed the code to previous code and saved.. then it executed without error..
i think my code was right.. it was just some problem in netbeans 7.0 beta version
