c++ programming from problem analysis to program design by d.s malik ..

guys is this a good book for the beginner??

It's a fair book. I've always liked Savitch's books quite a bit.

What do you want it for, just to teach yourself C++? For a class?

If you just want it for your own enlightenment and you're not required to get any particular book, your best bet is likely to head to the bookstore and thumb through some of the books and see which one is most "user friendly" for you. Everyone has different learning styles, etc. and different books are better for different people.
