Sun/Oracle has excellent training courses, which are offered in a variety of forms, including online.

I would follow jwenting's advice and go for the Oracle courses. they cover different parts of the language, which are put in different courses and exams, if you would want to take them.

having 50+ access within a single click is not half as usefull as having written 50+ smaller applications to test out the language yourself.
