Call Cloud Based API

The title sums it up. I need to call info off cloud based applications. Any suggestions?

I honestly have no idea what the first step is. I'm not a strong code writer. I haven't done it in almost 2 years and am drawing a blank on calling a cloud based app. The app is on the PC but the updated information that I need to retrieve is stored on the cloud.
