I must take issue that Volkswagen is getting promoted here. Check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_emissions_scandal which covers the highlights of their nefarious operations. It's a shame they avoided jail time.

That looks like a project that could take awhile. It's probably about a couple full day's work for a beginner programmer. Have you started yet? Do you have code you can show us so far including where you're stuck or where you need help?
I urge you to begin working on this project right away, if you haven't already done so, because it's not going to be as simple as it looks.
