Hey everyone,

I was hoping you could help me out in choosing or not choosing java for an upcoming project I would like to do. I would like to have my media library streaming from my home computer. So basically you would input a directory and it would gather all of the media and give you a sort of list to play either music or movies etc. I know there might be programs or scripts that do this but I want to do it on my own. Is java the language for this? If not, is there soemthing else I should look into? I have never used java before but I am proficent in C/C+ and C#, along with PHP.

I'd use c#... but that's just my opinion.
