My problem is the div box that pops up. I'm only getting the behavior I want with Firefox. in Opera and in IE the page widens to fit it. What I want is what Firefox does; drop it to the next line and sort of squeezes the content in to fit the space.

Is there a css property I can use to do this? I'm pulling my hairs!

Ehmm, it would be much better if you provided some explanation why you marked post as solved and maybe provide solution then just simple mark the post as solved without explanation...

Instead of using insertAfter(), I set the top and left dimensions manually, so the div now appears in an area where the problem I pointed out doesn't apply anymore.
