Can't get ASP.NET 2.0 to run on WinXPPro

I've been learning about ASP.NET 2.0 and I have some pages that I'd like to test out.
Problem is.. I can't get my WinXP Pro SP3 to serve the ASP pages.

Even a basic .aspx "hello world" test page fails.
IIS keeps bombing and saying "IIS has encountered a problem and needs to close"

I can get basic html pages to serve just fine.

I have instaled IIS, .NET2.0, .NET2.0SDK... and I even installed SQL2005Express (don't know if I was required to or not).
I have setup permissions, I've read and followed several online tuts, but nothing seems to work.

Where should I go from here?

OK, I got it fixed.

I discovered that I was crashing from the MS Account Lockout Tool "ALockout.dll" file.

I got my answer by following this troubleshooting page.

And the IIS Debug Diagnostic tool is what really found the problem.
Very cool debug utility.
