Help on moving tables from one server to another

Hi,
Our group has two servers allocated to us. One is the production server (IP Address "X") and the other is a development server (IP Add "Y") (which is the local version). We use Sybase.

We initially work on the Development DB and then do a weekly update on to the Production server. I am developing a PHP page which displays all the tables in the devel. server and when the user selects a table and hits submit the corresponding table on the prod. server should be updated. What is the best way to perform this operation ? I will be really grateful if you can give me a hint on what the most efficient process is going to be .

This question is more MYSQL than PHP

I'm not sure why noone told you to put this question in MYSQL section rather than in PHP section.
