Hello people,

I have downloaded a datepicker in order to use it in my script so as to allow people to pick their date of birth.

The date picker in question is this one : core.ui.datepicker/ui.datepicker.js

It works, but the problem is that it shows only the years that start from the current year . The user can pick a year former to the current year only by navigation by a mouse on a row. Suppose you are born on 1950 then you will make around 60 clicks to achieve your year of birth :(

I want you tell you what to change in this ui.datepicker.js file so as to avoid this trouble, here is the source code:

It may be my personal preference, but could you remove all that code (on mobiles, it's a bit of a pain to scroll down 60.000 pixels)?

Honestly, I don't expect that anyone here is going to re-write that script so that it fits your exact needs. There are a lot of those scripts, just search for one that does what you want.

I just fixed and resolved this problem by changing one line only and here is the concerned line by the changed i did:

yearRange: '-70:0', // Range of years to display in drop-down,

It means, I scroll my years from the current one (0) to 70 years ago !

Okay, well, that's a possibility too :P

I am using same calender but it's creating problem in IE6. When i select any date from calender popup then it should get closed automatically but in IE6 it reappears again and again. Please advise the same.
