Retrieve Vimeo view count via Js

I'm trying to retrieve views from a select set of vimeo vids. The API documentation is lacking in my opinion and I am only provided with this as far as I can tell

It retrieves thumbnails & titles from every video by that username, but I just want to input a select few videos and get only the view count.
Is anyone here familiar enough with vimeo's api to help me, or is this something I should pursue on the vimeo forums? Can't seem to find help when I google it.

Surprisingly that had everything I needed. Not sure how the pages I was on weren't that, but I really appreciate the link
