Sometimes people need to understand their preferred learning method. For example, some people learn better through reading, some by listening to audio, some by visual, (video, demonstration, etc) some by experiencing - practical lessons. In the UK young ones had what is/was known as the VARK test.
If you tailored your tutorials to follow these methods you would have something that people need and find useful. Rather than the student getting their head around a lecturer's teaching method, they will be receiving lessons that fit in with their natural learning method.
