On my site, http://www.stateofhumanity.org the search fuction is very weak. If you punch in for example "Congo war" nothing comes up. But if you just type in "Congo" or "War" individually, then articles, and links come up. :-|

Is it possible to improve the search function so that when it someone punches in multiple words, it comes up with several findings?

Sure, why not?

You'll have to do some digging, maybe PHP-Nuke has an improved algorithm somewhere you can upgrade to.
