My daughter is into making youtube videos but she's been pretty disapointed in the camara/software that came with her laptop. I just purchased her an independant web cam but I need some suggestions on software for her to use for capturing and making her youtube videos. I can't remember if she's using Windows 8.1 or 10. Thanks.

Hey everyone! I'm brand new to Android and have been working on a very basic app that just takes a picture with an image overlay and saves it. So far I have figured out how to get the camera preview, take a picture, and do an image overlay on the camera preview. I'm at the point where I want to save the camera image and the overlay as one image. The problem I'm running into is that it's saving just the overlay on a black background. So the image from the camera isn't showing up in the saved image, even …

Looking for a NP-85 battery? At this point they are next to impossible to actually find. Yea, they'll tell you they got it but when you get the shipment it's something less than what you ordered. What's the difference" The 2000mAh represents the maximum service life per battery charge. At this point in time the 2000mAh battery is the max you can reasonably expect to get. 1900 is less of a performer than 2000 and 1750 is less than 1900 and so on. Most tech savy have figured this out and won't settle for anything less, the retailers, those that …

Hi all, I am new to C# and currently writing a program which attempts to capture video from two webcams at exactly the same time. I am using the EmguCv framework which is a wrapper class of the OpenCv framework used in C++. I have the program completed, with the stream from the left and right webcams displayed in their respective image box within the Windows form. Each frame is extracted and stored in a folder corresponding to the webcam which captured it. The capture is set to begin once the start button, added to the window, is pressed with …

Hi, I hope I'm posting this in the right place. :) I've also posted the problem I was facing on the Mikrotik forum, but it takes a while for a reply to be approved and I really want to solve this problem quickly. I'm trying to set up a remote surveillance system for my house. I'm a newbie when it comes to using Mikrotik. I'm using a Mikrotik Metal 2SHPn. I've got 4 Wireless IP cameras that I want to be able to view remotely from wherever I am. The problem is, I'm not sure how to configure my router …

Hi I've tried html5 to access the laptop camera like demoed in this article http://davidwalsh.name/browser-camera The problem is, it asks everytime I visit a website which uses a camera to either approve or deny access to my camera. The app I'd like to develop would not work like this, and I'm looking for a way to override this prompt or have it once saying "Always allow access to my webcam". Also - I'm testing it in Google Chrome.

Hello good day. I am hoping to discover some free/trial software that will allow we to identify a printed/drawn symbol/sticker on images in a folder. I have taken a picture of a few pages from my notebook(handwritten). On these pages I have put stickers. Is there a software that allows me to have a reference picture which can be used to search and locate other images in my folders with that reference picture in them? I'm aware of Evernote's Moleskin smartbook and its page camera. Are there any others however for the desktop computer please? Thank you so much for …

To get the iPad 4 compatibility rather obviously requires the Lightning connector equipped version, which costs the same as the iPad 3 version. Whichever you need, the premise is the same: upload your photos to your iPad directly from your camera. Insert the SD card into the device, make sure it is toggled to the SD setting, and your iPad will display your images and enable you to import them. …

And it should also appear on the image captured by the user. I'm having hard time figuring this out. Guidance would be really helpful. Thank you.

Ask a group of 100 people how they search for images online and the chances are that the vast majority will give the standard 'Google' response. Indeed, Google Images is a useful search engine if you are satisfied with a scattergun approach to finding all images that match a specific search term. But what if you wanted something a little more focussed, if you'll excuse the photographic play on words? What of you wanted to find all the images taken by your camera and that now appear online? Impossible, you might imagine, but actually it's not only possible but …

Reallusion is perhaps best known for developing a range of award-winning 3D cinematic tools, so it came as something of a surprise to discover that the company has just released an iPhone app. The surprise did not diminish any when the press release arrived on my desk and proudly, not to mention rather loudly, proclaimed that "Big Lens will turn your iPhone/iPad into a professional SLR camera". It has to be said that I pretty much choked on my coffee as, let's face it, you'd need something approaching a bone fide miracle to get anything approaching professional results from the …

Also known as "Snitching" applications, that simply log and report the whereabouts of an object (like smartphones, laptops, tablets, etc.). Why kernel-level? Because a lot of these devices have a "Return to factory default" option, which simply removes the Snitch. Why this thread? My HP iPaq 914c got stolen almost a year ago. It was a bloody violent mess, but I guess I shouldn't have been wandering around the Dutch semi-ghetto "the Bijlmer" at night. Anyway, I was running a location logger on that phone, but somehow the dude who robbed me managed to turn it off. Later on, I …
