I've had much better luck with
powerline
than with wireless. The
powerline
connection is much more reliable. The wireless connection fades in…, but for my money the more reliable (and slightly slower)
powerline
link is much preferred.

It really depends on what you're doing,
Powerline
networking has it's uses (home automation, long distance runs old building where wireless doesn't work and running new cable isn't possible) but for most network implementations you'll get better real world speed and a lot less headaches out of wireless N

Yes a
powerline
adapter could increase the the network connection. Can you check what is your network speed. And do a ping test to see whether the problem does not lies with the router. How about web browsing, is the internet speed fine or does the internet connection always drop?

Packets loss can be due to poor internet connection or the distance. Seems like your Xbox is a bit out of range. You can check with your router to see what is the connection range. Range is usually stated on the top of the router and other reasons. But since your computer is working fine we can canceled out other causes. Try to move your router …

I've used a different brand for a while (not sure which). I was very content with them (speed and connection stability was better than wifi), until they started to heat up too much and shut down too regularly (no connection).

Does your Mac Mini use a DHCP address, or a static one? Also, you probably want to make sure the TCP/IP v4 configuration for your Windows partition is using DHCP, and then you likely should disable IPv6 on it as well.

Use thid Open a command prompt window by click on start->accessories-> right clicking on it and running it as an administrator. The black command prompt window will open. Now type: ipconfig /release <- then hit enter. Now type: ipconfig /renew <- and hit enter again. That should force a reset of the adapter. If you want to see what …

Personally I'd be surprised if the FCC would permit something that would cause such widespread interference. I know they do stupid things, but I've always figured they at least kept interference to a minimum. But then, I'm not really an expert. That said I don't see the point of BPL. Cable and telephone lines cover most everywhere, and where …

Mr. Wenting, There is no fear concerning the situation. Where BPL was tested in the United States, there are documented cases of interference rising through the roof. A number of the test sites were shut off after measured increase of interference. We call this the "noise floor". Also remember that this is not a local situation…
