Spammers usually keep a low profile. We should have spotted them easily before they start spamming. Did you guys notice that when you guys register as a member they will ask you a question. Example are you human .

Good idea. If they reply 'Yes,' then we ban them before they post.
If they reply 'No,' but they are a spammer, then we ban them anyway :D:D

Not sort of info interesting for me, so I do not keep record and you can expect same from rest of moderator team. Forum without spammers is our aim.

A few months ago we had a massive spam-attack here on DW. I estimate that we banned about 750-1000 accounts in one week.

Not for a brainy community like this, i was a moderator too for some india's largest online forums, and even now they remember the name "Beerboy", the forums i had worked for was like post/per second.
Nick evan, massive spam attacks are done by one person, i mean one spammer i guess, sometimes it's painful to be a moderator, they blame you for good/bad and sometimes for nothing, else they say you are so great.
it's decent to be a moderator for a forum like this, coz you won't find a illiterate idiot who don't understand your point.

I don't think daniweb has much spam. I have seen forums that look like they are made for spam. Usualy spam about buying Viagra. hmmm.
