It's been a long time coming, but @mentions are finally here! If you @mention another member who had posted in the thread (e.g. if you're responding to them or commenting on their post) then they will get alerted and the mention will link to all of the posts the person being mentioned made in the thread.

As an FYI, @mentions must be one word, so we do things the way Stack Overflow does, whereby spaces must be removed from usernames such as Reverend Jim would become @ReverendJim.
