I’m a DB Manager of a legacy system written in Advanced Revelations. It’s RBasic like, it’s DOS. Wrote an Image management system in VB5 for it. Basically DOS calling Windows to display and print imaged documents. No one wants to touch it, so I maintain it. I dabble mainly in Excel VBA generating charts and graphs.
What brought me here is a personal project, if anyone wants to help. It’s automation the Bling process on AFF. Bling is a 40X40 pixel graphic. Currently you type in the RGB color numbers for the pixel then mouse click on the corresponding pixel. Very time consuming. I’d like to develop an application that imports a 40X40 graphic that was generated in Paint or Gimp then do a send key to the AFF web page for the RGB color numbers then send a mouse click to the correct pixel in the grid. Basically sending key strokes and mouse clicks from a VB.NET application to a Web Page.
Laundry list:
1. Import image (image will be created in Paint or Gimp)
2. Determine RGB pixel by pixel
3. Send key the RGB numbers to the Web Application
4. Position mouse on grid (web page) and left click the corresponding pixel box
5. Repeat 2-4 1600 times.
