I stumbled uppon these forums and they seemed like a place with friendly people so I thought I'd introduce myself here.

I'm a biologist, and I recently got a job as a researcher at an intstitute for ecological research. I'll be doing theoretical research on biodiversity, and I'll use my computer to simulate my models, which I'll program in C++. So soon I'll ask you to optimze my code! ;-)
