A short, practical follow-up that ties the replies together and adds concrete options beyond what was already suggested by , and others.

First, preserve what you have. Make a sector‑level image of the cracked disc before doing anything else so there is a fall‑back if the disc fails completely. Use an imager that tolerates read errors, then either mount that image as a virtual drive or burn a new disc from the image. If imaging fails, a gentle clean or a professional disc resurfacing service can sometimes restore readability; if not, hunt for a used physical copy on second‑hand marketplaces.

Technical fixes for the display problems (the “screen split into four” or “full screen not available” symptoms mentioned by ) usually come from old DirectDraw/Direct3D calls colliding with modern drivers and desktop compositing. Beyond simple compatibility settings, try these steps: disable desktop composition/Aero or visual themes, force the application to low color/640x480 modes via compatibility options, try a DirectX wrapper (dgVoodoo2) or a windowed‑mode wrapper (DxWnd) that intercepts old graphics calls, or run the game inside a virtual machine configured to the original OS (Win98/XP) and mount the game ISO there. Note: some copy‑protected installers refuse to run in a VM; legal no‑CD cracks are not recommended.

Legal replacement options: check legitimate re‑release stores (GOG, Steam) and game databases (MobyGames) to identify the publisher or rights owner, then contact them or buy a used disc. ’s caution about downloads is correct — avoid illicit copies. In practice the most reliable routes are (1) recover or image your original disc and run in a VM if needed, or (2) obtain a legal used/official re‑release copy.

There is no best game in the world. People like to play different genre. Even in the same genre, people enjoy different gameplay, so do not say best game ever.

Well it's the guy's opinion, I believe. I don't believe he's trying to get us to think that Swing is the best game ever. BTW as to your solution, although I don't in anyway endorse cracked software, did you try right clicking the executable and choosing properties, then going into compatibility and choosing Run in compatibility mode for Win 98?

I think 80s games are the best (So that shows ya that many people think different things)

Hey i have played swing alot ... and yeah it is a nice game ... but now even i m looking for it as it not available on net resources as well and most of the game stores donot have it !!!!

My dad and i also believe this is the best game ever!!

There is a place on the net where Swing can be downloaded, have a try of this link:
http://free-game-downloads.mosw.com/abandonware/pc/puzzle_games/games_s/swing.html

Unfortunately, i cannot get this to work on my new laptop with Vista, after downloading the file and using WinRar to get it to the point of loading the application, an error message pops up with "full screen not available"
Does anyone know how to get around this? or is it just because the game is not compatible with Vista?

please dont talk about downloading copyrighted siftware here

try compatibility mode
