just looking for a place to call home "lol" I 'm getting a new sever today and was wondering how to set up a new gaming server. looking to find out what client software need ect. it's a
Supermicro server and it has as follows: 4.4ghz, with 2- 2.2 amd64bit hammerhead cpu's and 2 spare cpu's
4 gigs ddr kingston server ram, with 2 empty slots
main board is a http://ftp.tyan.com/html/pr03_s2880.html
4 pci 64 bit slots ( will run regular 32 bit cards in same slot)
and one 32 bit pci slot..
New lg Dvd 20 times dual layer burner
will run up to 6 hard dives (2sata raid or not, 4 ide)
built in hd cooling fans
runs upright or in a rack mount system
17inch lcd (sharp)
soundblaster audio with pioneer speakers keyboard and mouse
can enybody give me some ideas on this. not sure what os it's running but I take it has server 2003.
