I'm having trouble with the livestream.com website. I was live streaming an event and they have previous events you could watch so I clicked on one will the other was playing and now I can't live stream or play any of those events. When I click on them I just get a black screen on the live stream and a white screen on a previous event. This is the address: Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Brief expert note tied to the thread: the symptoms here (black box on live, blank/white for past events) are typical of a client-side playback hiccup—plugin/browser state, blocked plugin or extension, or a transient player/stream handoff problem. ’s browser-swap hint was on target; the steps below give deeper diagnostics that help find the root cause rather than just a one-time workaround. (support.mozilla.org)

Key troubleshooting actions to run the next time the player fails:

  • Check the browser/plugin state (Flash was common in 2014). In Firefox look at Tools / Add-ons / Plugins (Shockwave Flash) and the click-to-play settings; an always-activated or explicitly allowed plugin lets the player reload cleanly.
  • Isolate extensions: start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode (Safe Mode) to rule out adblockers, NoScript, etc. If playback works in Troubleshoot Mode the problem is an add-on or hardware-acceleration interaction. (support.mozilla.org)
  • Capture developer logs: open the Web Console (Ctrl+Shift+K) and the Network Monitor (Ctrl+Shift+E), reload the page, and look for failing requests (403/404), CORS or mixed-content blocks, or JS errors — these are the exact clues to pass to support. (devdoc.net)
  • If the player uses Flash, try disabling Flash hardware acceleration (right-click the Flash area -> Settings -> Display -> uncheck “Enable hardware acceleration”), then restart the browser; this often fixes black/green screen rendering glitches. (support.mozilla.org)

Context and caution for readers years later: Adobe retired Flash and blocked Flash content from running beginning January 12, 2021; modern browsers and streaming platforms now prefer HTML5/HLS (so Flash-only pages may be unplayable unless the host migrates the content). Also confirm the streaming service’s recommended ports and CDN domains are allowed on the network (ports 80/443 and cdn/playback domains). If collecting data for the broadcaster/support team, include: browser + version, OS, exact time (UTC), console/network screenshots or copied errors, and a short description of extensions tested. ()

Short, specific evidence (console traces and network failures) is what helps hosts or platform support diagnose whether the fault is local, a browser/plugin interaction, or a server/CDN problem.

You don't mention which browser you're using or which OS. Worked for me (Chrome - latest and Win7 Home). Did you perchance forget to go to church this Sunday? God may have cut you off :)

If He were to cut me off, I wouldn't think it would happen while I was watching a church meeting! :) It was Firefox and Windows 7. It's almost like something got turned off or deleted but I don't have a clue what. I wondered if it was Flash, but other videos on other websites play fine. I'm stumped!

Try a different browser. Possibly clearing the cache in FF. Some sites send cookies that only allow a certain number of plays - I doubt if that's happening here though, but you could have a look at any cookies.

It worked in IE so I tried again in FF and it was fine! I have no clue what happened! Thank for help!
