HP doesn't provide Linux support for most of its hardware... if you want to get hardware components working, you'll have to install individual third party drivers (that is, if they've been written).

So, what hardware doesn't work? Once you find out the hardware that isn't working, you can usually google the model name and find Linux drivers for it which you can install.

I have an hp dv6000t and I have been able to get everything working with a little work. The biggest hurdle was the webcam but it was remedied with a few hours of googling. So what doesn't work?

well its mainly the wireless or the lan connection so i can get on the net the rest isnt to important not sure what the model numbers are for each of those is there an easy way to find out from hp or when in vista what the model numbers are for both of these?
