Gidday (first post, may have got the wrong forum, but hey, no mistake, no learn aye)
I came across this site while i was looking for some specific type of software, and considering I have not had much luck in finding what i'm after and this site boasts of a world of knowledge I though id ask here about some software I am searching for, in the hope that I may get a lead.
I work in the printing industry, in a Pre Press department, I am in charge of the Mac's and PC's for this department.
The NT server is the main frame for the company, I work of a branch of the IT's network.
Ok, what we have is a windows NT server that is running a application (ill call it A) that uses a massive data base (this is in the print industry) which holds all quotes, proofing information, customer info, and a whole lot more. Each job is allocated specific information, which is entered into text fields, it is some of this information that I need to obtain and pass to another application.
On another computer running XP we have another application (ill call it B) that needs to get specific information from (A) and pass that information into specific text fields on (B), (B) cant do this alone, this is where a third application needs to come into the picture, this will be to gather the information from (A) and pass it to (B) (am I waffling?:)
Can anybody think of a application that does something like this or suggest some links for me to go an look at?
