5 years, nearly 1000 views, and not a single question asked? I was actually thinking of posting a new AMA and remembered I started one years ago ... what a poor state of affairs it seems to be in. C'mon, ask me anything!

Maybe you've shared about this in the past, but I haven't read it. However, it would be interesting to know, have you ever worked in another company or for a project that isn't yours? Also, have you ever been involved in maintaining or contributing to any open-source project?

Yes. Back in high school, my computer science teacher connected me with a widow who paid me $10/hour to tutor her on how to use AOL to email her grandkids. Then, in my college days, I earned $8/hour as a T.A. in the computer science lab at school, and that money went towards DaniWeb's hosting fees. I also did a little bit of freelance work for other phpBB and vBulletin forums (custom mods, etc.) in order to pay for DaniWeb in my first year out of college. That's the entire extent of my work experience outside of DaniWeb.

Also, have you ever been involved in maintaining or contributing to any open-source project?

No, I haven't. The only thing that would even ever so slightly be relevant are a PHP messaging app that I posted on Github that I wrote using the DaniWeb API as a proof of concept. Secondly, after working on the editor toolbar that we use here, I contributed the code I wrote for it. That could possibly count since the editor, itself, is open source.
