This is simply just an opinion based question... Wordpress is the most commonly used one because of how easy it is to use plus there is a lot of resources for it. Honestly, whatever cms your used to using is the best one... unless your client disagrees :D

Joomla! is interesting and easy to use out of the box. I do like its extensions and free templates. But like other CMS like Wordpress and Drupal, adding more relevant functionality means buying these wanted additions. To use it to its full potential, and adding even more complexity, learning Joomla! coding is required especially in terms of customizing the templates.
