I read that this keyboard is supposed to have built in functionality under panther, I upgraded and installed panther but the extra keys still don't seem to work at all... am I missing something??

Have you checked out that thread? No, the keyboard doesn't have built-in functionality, sorry. It needs drivers and the drivers it needs are only compatible with OS 10.1 (no luck in Jaguar or Panther).
