I don't succeed to remove About:blank homepage from my comp for more then month! I've downloaded a lot of antispyware programmes (adware , spybot, registar lite ...) and scaned with in normal and also, in save mode.
Every time after adware scan I get 50-200 critical objects. I remove them, but after 10 minutes , in another scan i get again a lot of critical objects.

Download About:buster from http://malwarebytes.biz/AboutBuster.zip and unzip it to your desktop.

Download & instal Adaware from here
& update it before scanning.
In settings under 'scanning,' have it set to
'scan within archives,'
'scan active processes,'
'scan registry,'
'deepscan registry'
'scan my IE Favourites for banned URL's,'
'scan my host's file.'
In 'tweaks' under 'scanning engine' set it to 'unload recognised processes during scanning.'
Also in 'tweaks' under 'cleaning engine' set it to 'Automatically try to unregister objects prior to deletion' & 'let Windows remove files in use at next reboot.'

Click here for instructions on how to boot into safe mode.

Boot up in safe mode.

Close all (browser) windows & rescan with hijackthis. When the scan is finished place a check in the box to the left of the following entries & click 'fix checked':

Run About:buster, click OK, Start, and OK again to start the scan. Let it scan and fix everything it finds.

Still in safe mode, do a full system scan with Adaware. When the scan is finished select *next* & place a check in the boxes to the left of what is found & click *next* again. Let it delete those entries.

Reboot your computer in normal mode.

Download CWShredder from here & run it. Select the fix button & it will fix everything related to CoolWebSearch that is stored in it's database. Close ALL windows, including Internet Explorer, before running CWShredder. Reboot.

To help prevent this from happening again, install the patches for the vulnerabilities that this hijacker exploits by going here for your critical updates.

Reboot after doing this & post another log please.

I did all this and updated Windows! The about:blank problem disappeared!!! The IE started to work really faster!!! Finally!!!!
Thank you very, very, very much for your help!!!

Thanks again!!!

Still have a problem file there.PowerProf.exe is a keylogger. Have you noticed a large amount of emails being sent out? If so, it is that that is doing it.

Close all (browser) windows & rescan with hijackthis. When the scan is finished place a check in the box to the left of the following entries & click 'fix checked':

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [PowerProf] PowerProf.exe

Reboot into safe mode following the instructions here & navigate to & delete the following if found:

PowerProf.exe. Most likely to be found in the system32 folder.

Reboot normally after doing the above, then post a fresh log please.

Now that looks clean :).

If svikik had a kestroke logger, wouldn't it make sense to change all passwords? (I don't know, just asking.)

That's a very excellent point & should be applied :). Thanks dlh6213.

First of all, thank you all SO much again!
Second, for how long may I feel good about my CLEAN PC, if I don't know what is it "kestroke logger" ?

A keystroke logger takes note of all keys used on your keyboard & reports back that information. It will be safer for you to change any passwords you may have used. Banking, secure sites etc.
