I dont know if its nice to jam in, but I have the same problem on my Virtual XP.
I did run the safebootkeyrepair.exe & sfc / scannow , and booted.

I have still the same error on Win32 applications.

Short summary and practical next steps based on the thread: the OfficeScan/Apex One monitor (PccNTMon.exe) failing with a "not a valid Win32 application" style error most often means the executable is either corrupted, replaced by malware, or otherwise incompatible with the running OS. tried association/repair and system scans and ultimately reported success after removing the security client and cleaning infections; earlier replies from and pointed toward EXE-association fixes and broad research. For context on what PccNTMon.exe does and why it matters, see Trend Micro documentation. ()

Quick verification (do these before reinstalling anything)

  • Check the file’s digital signature and file properties (legitimate OfficeScan binaries are signed). If the signature is missing or the file date/size looks wrong, treat the file as suspect. Trend Micro documents that the agent monitor is a signed component. ()
  • Upload the suspicious file from a working machine (not the infected one) to an online scanner, and inspect agent logs and Windows event logs for related errors.
  • If only EXE handling is broken, confirm the default EXE association and that no system-wide policy is blocking execution (many malware strains alter associations and SRP/Group Policy).

Repair and recovery guidance

  • If the binary is corrupt but the system is otherwise healthy, uninstall the agent with the vendor-recommended removal method and reinstall the latest agent build (Trend Micro has specific KBs for PCCNTMON issues and agent deployment fixes). ()
  • For OS-integrity issues, use Windows built-in repair tools (DISM where available followed by system-file verification) to restore damaged system files before reinstalling applications. Microsoft documents using image repair + SFC for modern Windows. (support.microsoft.com)

When infection is suspected

  • Run offline/rootkit-capable scans (bootable rescue media or Microsoft Defender Offline / vendor rescue tools) and consider specialist rootkit cleaners if needed. If multiple core EXEs are altered, or a persistent rootkit is found, a full clean reinstall of Windows and careful restoration from known-good backups is the safest option. Community and incident-response guidance recommend reinstallation when deep compromise or rootkits are present. (bleepingcomputer.com)

Practical caution: prefer official vendor uninstallers/reinstallers and vendor KBs over random third-party “fix” downloads. If reproducing this for a production network, isolate the machine, collect logs, and document the exact agent version before removal so the reinstall can match server policies.

you want to download the fix for EXE files. Unzip, right click and choose merge. Reboot afterward.

Thank You but I have still the problem

C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan Client\PccNTMon.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

Can't Start Trend

is it just that one? or any applications?

Thanks to @ll of You !!
After I was able to remove some virus like mdek-srosa-hdlrrr
using Greatis Software reanimator and still didn't got Trend running
I decided to remove Trend with revouninstall
then installed avast and scanned my PC
which removed some Troyans from my system restore
now I hope to stay clean for a while

All my Best wishes
