Looks like one of my Pcs has gotten another bug. Any help would be appreciated. I am moving to Firefox to perhaps avoid some of this stuff.
Thanks!

Before you fix anything with HJT, there are two things you need to do first; you should get the latest version of it, which is 1.98.2, and you should put it in it's own folder so it can safely save backups -- like C:\Documents and Settings\KingSt\Desktop\HJT\HijackThis.exe (instead of C:\Documents and Settings\KingSt\Desktop\HijackThis.exe)

After you've done that, close all browser windows, scan with the new HJT, and post a new log please.

Ok, here is the new log: Any ideas, please and Thanks?

The log above was made with HJT v1.97.7 by mistake. I'll rescan and post a new log once I reupdate with v1.98.2. Thanks

0

OK- Post the HJT 1.98.2 log when you can. However, also take your own advice ASAP:

I am moving to Firefox to perhaps avoid some of this stuff

Moving to Firefox, Opera, or Netscape will greatly reduce your chances of getting infected by these nasties; there honestly isn't any "perhaps" about it.

I am now using Firefox and ZoneAlarm.
He're the latest log: Thanks

Do you know what this is: C:\WINDOWS\System32\langwrbk.exe
It's not showing up on every log, but it's on most of them. If you don't, can you right-click on it and get the Properties for it? That's the only questionable thing I see.

Agreed- langwrbk.dll is a valid Microsoft file in some Windows versions, but I can't find any info on langwrbk.exe.

flowerman,

In the Properties window of the C:\WINDOWS\System32\langwrbk.exe file, check not only the info under the "General" tab, but also see what's listed under the "Version" tab as well.

Other than that, the log looks clean.

I found langwrbk.dll but no .exe.
Landwrbk.dll was something from Microsoft called English Wordbreaker.
I went ahead and "fixed it" with HJT.

Looks like everything is clean again. Thanks again for this great service!

Glad we could help (again) :)

Yup- that's the legit Microsoft file; I still can't find anything on the .exe version though. If deleting its entry didn't seem to do any harm, you're probably good to go.
