cleaning trojan.agent from mbam quarantine

Hi I have had this
trojan.agent registry key hkey_current_user/software/{nsiname} 75405

in mbam quarantine for a couple of weeks. I am hoping to clean the infection? because it seems to have affected media player and possiblly other graphics things like s-video output.

I am very unsure about cleaning this and mbam only gives an option to delete or restore.

If the infection is in Quarantine it cannot harm the computer and can be deleted.
But if you are still having problems then you should UPDATE MBA-M and run another Full System scan with it and then REMOVE all that is found.
Then reboot.
Run a NEW HJT scan and post back here with both the NEW MBA-M log and the new HJT log.

I guess I was presuming that the trojan had taken other system files with it to the quarantine... maybe that was my mistake.

The MBA-M log you posted is good, but it is always good then to see another after reboot. Also the HJT scans should always be run AFTER the clean up tools are run, you have done that so that is correct.

I guess I was presuming that the trojan had taken other system files with it to the quarantine... maybe that was my mistake

The only files removed are those that are shown. Others are not "taken along" to quarantine.
Did you purchase MBA-M? If you did not there is no reason to have it auto starting or running also as a service since realtime protection doesn't run with the free version. You have a multitude of anti-spy programs running as it is.

yeah. I got a bit carried away before you suggested last time that it wasn't necessary. Otherwise I would have followed your advice to the letter. Maybe I should unpurchase it ;)
Threatfire doesn't seem to do much, but thats kind of how its advertised.
very happy with avast and firefox as you suggested. thanks again.
anyway media player is still non functioning and s video produces some interesting patterns on a tv screen.
any thoughts?

I have no clue as far as TV pictures and I'm sorry but not that familiar with media center to offer suggestions, somebody else may have some though. No problem with purchasing MBA-M it is an excellent program.
