I have a feeling all those BHO's need to go.
I'd say my main problem though is my google auto search redirect.. grr. I'm guessing that is where it would be too. Any help or suggestions greatly
appreciated.
Also sorry this is so long and tedious but I'm not going to mess with anything until I hear from a yay or nay.

Brief summary tied to the thread: ’s approach (stop the active malicious processes, remove their startup entries and restore the hosts file) appears to have removed the offending binaries, while ’s follow-up shows the browser-hook entries remained as registry-only remnants. Those orphaned hooks can continue to affect search/navigation until the registry keys and low-level network hooks are cleaned and the browser environment is validated.

Practical next steps and safeguards: use a trusted autorun/add-on viewer to locate and disable leftover BHOs and startup runkeys, and a process/handle tool to identify any process holding files open so deletions won’t be blocked. Always export affected registry keys and create a System Restore point before removing registry entries. If a component keeps reappearing, a Safe Mode or offline rescue environment will prevent respawn while files and keys are removed.

Why redirects persist and quick verification: common causes are modified browser hooks, low-level network changes (proxy/LSP/Winsock) or altered name-resolution entries. A Winsock reset and DNS cache flush (netsh winsock reset and ipconfig /flushdns) plus a check of the system hosts file and proxy settings will clear many redirect vectors. After cleanup, clear the browser cache and test with a fresh profile or alternate browser to confirm the redirect is gone.

Final validation and remediation tools: run a current on-demand anti‑malware scan (for example, Malwarebytes) to catch residual PUPs/adware and re-run the autorun tool to confirm nothing remains. If redirects persist despite thorough cleanup, a repair or clean OS install may be the safest final option.

Run Hijackthis and go to the process viewer by going to Config, Misc Tools, Process Viewer, to unload all instances of the following running processes;
ystbmgnu.exe

Scan with hijackthis and tick the boxes next to all the following entries, then close all browser and explorer windows, and hit the "Fix checked" button.

Reboot into safe mode following the instructions and navigate to and delete the following if found:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ystbmgnu.exe<----file

Search for and delete these two also;

lffads.exe<----file
mscemgmt.exe<----file

Reboot normally after doing the above, rescan with hijackthis, then post that log here please.

Download the Hoster.
Run it and press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit Program.
Note that if you have a custom host file, this will remove it. You can edit the host file with this program too.
