to whom it may concern,

Hi all! Recently, my sis told me to download various different anti-virus programs, which i did. It found lots of viruses & spyware.

Now, my laptop seems to be freezing every so often during the day. i can't shut it off the usual way...i end up unplugging the whole thing to get it working again. can anyone out there assist me?

don't use more than one anti virus at a time in laptop/desktop, it may hang your laptop/desktop. if you want to use different anti virus then remove the previous anti virus and install the other one.
here if you have more than one anti virus then remove it and if you can't do that in normally then use safe mode.

Advice is correct but the log posted doesn't show more than one av program running and that one is Avira.
It does show several anti-spy programs, Windows Defender, SpyBot TeaTimer, SpyBot Security Center integration. I would recommend that you turn ALL of these off and see if it makes a difference.

To turn off Windows Defender do this:
1.Run Windows Defender from Start Menu.
2.Click on Tools button.
3.Then click on Options link under “Tools and Settings” section.
4.Scroll down the “Options” page, and uncheck the check boxes of the following two settings:
Use real-time protection (recommended) under “Real-time protection options”
Use Windows Defender under “Administrator options”
*Note that both options MUST be unchecked for the Windows Defender service in Windows Vista to be completely stopped. Else, only real-time protection is disabled.
5.Click on Save button.
6.A “Windows Defender is turned off” dialog message will appear, confirming that Windows Defender no longer runs.

Disable Spybot's TeaTimer

* Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode
* If it is not already set to do this, go to the Mode menu
select
Advanced Mode
* On the left hand side, click on Tools
* Then click on the Resident icon in the list
* Uncheck
Resident TeaTimer
and OK any prompts.
* Restart your computer

To stop SpyBot Security Center integration
Open the RUN box and type in Services.msc
and press ENTER.

Scroll down the list of services till you get to SDWinSec.exe
Right click on the service name and from the drop down menu
, select "Properties".

In the properties window, turn it OFF by hitting the Stop button and then change the way it runs, from Automatic to Disabled. Close all that out.
AFTER doing all the above.
* Restart your computer
