im just trying to free this computer of viruses its not mine its a friends
my comp never has a problem cause once a week i run avg, housecall, spybot s&d, and microsft antispyware
well on this computer i ran all that and they all found something.. i restarted it and they found more... and every time i run them they find a new one.. if i leave the comp alone for abit avg will pop up saying it found a virus
im not sure on what to do to stop this cause this has never happend to me before

Go to www.trendmicro.com, and then:

1. Click "Free Online Scan".
2. Click "Scan now, it's free".

It'll take a few minutes to download (especially with a dialup connection), so be patient. When it's down:

1. Select all available drives.
2. Check(tick) "Auto Clean".
3. Click "Scan".

When it completes, post back the full filename of any files that cannot be cleaned or deleted.

Let's look for, and delete, any program segments(prefetches) that might be present, and are associated with the 'problems' we're trying to remove from this system. To do this, let's:

1) Click "Start | Search", then search for each of these program's base name(s), in all files and folders:

rpctvid.exe*
rnrbject.exe*

2) Then if any are found in the 'prefetch' folder, delete them.

Look closely, since the 'base' name will have a bunch of random numbers and letters attached to it.

1. Click "Open the Misc Tools Section"

Try running which will repair IE and run a System File Check.

The scan here does not require an active X install, but uses java instead.

ok i could not get trend micro to run it kept saying error installing updates

ok none of those things worked..
heres what i have found out

whatever problem is not letting me connect to websites radomly is also the same thing that causes housecall not to run.. it gets to 60% on the update and stops..

(everyother download i do does the same type of thing)

they winsock fix did not fix it
