Hi there, I'm hoping one of you more experienced guys can help.

I'm helping a guy at work, lent his laptop to someone, and it came back exhibiting the above symptoms, that is Internet Explorer opening and trying to access some "moe spirit" or something website. Anyway we knew something dodgy had gotten into it, so as a techie myself I've tried to remove the culprits and I thought it was all gone, but not quite. I'll tell you what I've done so far.

Went into regedit, HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run . Saw some dodgy entries in there relating to something called ddx.exe and removed it. Then went to the location Docs & Settings\Username\Local Settings\App Data and saw 3 exes, ddv, ddw and ddx and removed them. Then shut down and re-booted into Safe Mode, and had a bit more of a hunt in the registry but didn't see anything wrong. I booted back into the normal login and it seemed to be fine for about 5-10 mins, but then IE popped up again.

I then decided to run HiJackThis, and Malware Bytes

You need to update MBA-M again and run another Full Scan with it and this time have it REMOVE all found and then Reboot the computer.
Where are you located? The Tcpip listings in the HJT log show the location to be Ukraine.
If this is not the correct location run HJT again and have it fix those entries by placing a check mark next to all and then clicking the Fix Checked button.
There ARE other questionable entries in the log but do that fix first. Then do the updated MBA-M scan and remove those entries. Reboot, run a new HJT scan. Post back here with both logs and we will go from there.
