Sorry about posting this originally in another thread.

I have also been a victim of the antispylab.com problem and I'm trying to fix my computer after reading some stuff on this site. However, I'm afraid I'm not that knowledgable about this and I may end up doing more harm than good trying to fix it. I've been running through jhay116's 11 step program and I now have a hijack log that looks like this at step #6.

Now, close all instances of Internet Explorer and any other windows you have open except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".

===============

Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure you are able to view system and hidden files/ folders:

files...

C:\WINDOWS\system32\susp.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\runsrv32.exe

-

Note that some of these file(s)/folder(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're 'in use', try deleting them in "Safe Mode".

-

Reboot.

===============

After rebooting, rescan with hijackthis and post back a new log. Please let me know how your pc is now.

uh, I would not check these.

Those are legit, and can be used by the user, just because it says the file is missing, doesn't mena it really is.

Please also ensure that this file is gone.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\winapi32.dll
