My spybot always finds adviva, Avenue a inc, Media plex, Sexlist, Sextracker, tradedoubler.amongst others, How do i get rid of these for good.

Aol give you a virus checker and firewall for free but im not sure if its any good. Should I buy a new firewall and antivirus?

Your advice would be much appreciated as always.

no you simply get them from going to websites

e.g those stupid smiley popups give you the tribalfusion tracking cookies

only way not to is not t allow any cookies in IE but this will break some websites like online finance
