O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IPInSightLAN 01] "C:\Program Files\Verizon Online\VisualIPInsight\IPClient.exe" -l

^ isn't nesscary, "Installed with Verizon DSL accounts. IP Insight is a Quality of Service monitor and diagn"ostic tool that isnt required"

What do you mean by "not working".?

Also do you use an antivirus or a firewall?

I recommend a scan for spywares, Trojans, viruses, worms, adwares and other malwares. Also, I do recommend that you clean/restore your registry files…if these are corrupted, your PC will slow down. The software to help you with your registry: RegCure and Regpair. What happens when you try to open up Internest explorer? Please scan using the following website: http://www.pcflank.com/test.htm
After scan, it will let you know to some extent what area of your computer you need to check. (Ensure that your fire-wall is enabled)…Have a good day.

See my reply to PaulineAuty on the same subject. Your logs are almost identitical. You are in a BOTNET -- a ZOMBIE NET.

The program is identical to the program and processes on many victims' computers not only throughout the US, but globally.

The perp is in Williamsburg, VA, running through a rogue server who owns the IP 127.0.0.1. Ordinarily this is a loopback IP, not to be used for anything other than loopback in one's own machine.

But some named Arius Kaufman, MacLean, VA registered it and is using it as a rogue server, with 440 subhosts per Rutgers University.

CHeck yout autoexec.bat and config.sys files. They should = "O", The system that is running your machine is the botherder's Network and your system is being overriden.

In my post to PaulineAuty whose log looks the same as yours in all essential processes are details on who the individuals are, how the botnet is being used and what steps to take now to protect your identity and assets. A first step should be filing a complaint with the IC3.

Here is the HijackThis Log with the new version of Hijackthis...

Chesa...Is that hacker thing really that much of a threat?
If so, how do I correct this problem?

A bit of trouble in there; because IE will not run for online scans yet try this -
Services:
==Go Start, run, type services.msc -and press Enter. Maximise the window and at foot select Extended tab, scroll to the specific service (VAPSV), rclick it, select properties. Write down the exact Service Name. Press Stop if it is highlighted [you may have to set the service to Disable first]. Close Services, now type this line into the run text box and press Enter:
sc delete "exact Service Name" - don't be silly now....
Next delete this file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\vapsvc.exe
Copy these two files into your sys and run them in order:
==Get CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/ - and put it in a new folder. You should aim to keep this one for general use. I set the installation checkboxes only to open from the recycle bin. It's neater that way.
Now run CCleaner from the recycle bin rclick menu using its default settings [if you set up CCleaner as i suggested, rclicking the bin icon should give you the Open CCleaner option...]. Select the Cleaner icon, press Run Cleaner.
[For future quick temp file cleaning select the options you wish to use via the Windows and Applications tabs ..] [Note that CCleaner is also a free registry cleaner. Explore all its options, but skip the prefetch folder cleaning option. That one is unnecessary because windows automatically dumps old unused entries anyway, they can do no harm, and further, if there is no prefetch entry for an app you wish to load then your sys will just be a lil bit slower loading it. And an entry will then be generated anyway.]
==Download this file to your desktop: http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
- to run it dclick combofix.exe and follow the prompts to start it. When finished, it will produce a log, C:\Combofix.txt - post that log in your next reply.
A word of caution - do not touch your mouse/keyboard until the scan has completed. The scan will temporarily disable your desktop, and if interrupted may leave your desktop disabled. If this occurs, please reboot to restore the desktop.
Post the combofix and a fresh hijackthis scan, please.

IE is working now.

Thanks a lot guys...
But I'm kind of worried about this hacker thing...
How valid is this fact and is it still a problem?
