Hi,
I have recently been experiencing a few problems with my PC. There's seems to be an awful lot of pop ups, some websites load up an annoying site called ffinder! Various message's keep saying your computer is infected with a trojan and/or a Worm. Loads of pop ups keep telling me to download this etc#
Its basically very annoying, and me being a computer novice just wondered if anyone had any advice on how to deal with it.

I can tell you now that disinfecting if it's gone too far can be a lot of effort. You need only look at the posts in this section to catch that whiff.
Do you have a second PC at your disposal and what kit is this happening on?
Download HijackThis from here. Download it to your desktop and NOT a temporary folder.
Right click on hijackthis.exe and rename the file to analysethis and hit the OK button.
Start HJT & press the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. When the scan is finished a window will pop up giving you the option of where to save it. Save it to desktop where it is easy to access. Open the log file and copy the entire contents of the file & paste it into the body of your post. DO NOT FIX ANYTHING YET. Most of what is there is necessary for the running of your system.
