I use firefox. I had some problems with IE and was recomended firefox, never looked back since.

I had trouble with spammers, and they usually sign up with fake emails, I changed the settings so people had to varify their account through email, it at least stops some spammers from joining the site.

Regester yourself twice, using different names, and have a debate about something related to your forum subject/topic/niche. make it a good debate, people might want to put in their view, and join up.
