I haven't fix it yet, but I guess you deserve a brownie already :)
But... how do I mark it as solved??

Mady 0 Junior Poster in Training

You're right. It's an HP.
Thank you very much for your answer.

Mady 0 Junior Poster in Training

I'm used to use F5 to refresh, but with my new laptop, windows 7, the F5 takes me to my homepage. Can you please tell me how to fix it?

Mady 0 Junior Poster in Training

Everything seems to work fine.
Thank you so much.
You're the best.

Mady 0 Junior Poster in Training

Hi.

Lately, I get a lot of messages on my Windows Live Messenger from people I don't know (and maybe not exist). I guess it's a kind of Trojan, but I can't get rid of it. I did everything that you mentioned in your posts up here, but I keep getting the messeges.

Please let me know what other information you need. Hope you can help me.

By the way, I couldn't download TrojanHunter from the link you mentioned (TrojanHunter – Examines your files, registry, open ports and running processes to protect against Trojans. http://trojanhunter.com/) because I got a virus scan alert (BackDoor-AWQ.b). Should I ignore it?

Mady 0 Junior Poster in Training

Sorry. can't find any of it.
What do you mean by "front of your machine"?
Can't find any "Manufactured and Supported by:" and where is the 'Support Information' Button.
Quite frustrating.

Mady 0 Junior Poster in Training

I don't know. How do I check the RAM?
and what is specs?

Mady 0 Junior Poster in Training

Yes, it workd great. It's a page I made with a collection of all the links I use the most. I use it for years now.

Mady 0 Junior Poster in Training

Yes. Hebrew is ok.
I know something is wrong. Too pity it doesn't show in the hjt.

Thanks anyway.

Mady 0 Junior Poster in Training

My computer does't react like usualy. Strange delays etc.
Would you be so kind to check my hjt?

:) No more NavExcel. Got rid of it with Ad-Aware.

But...

 When I close IE, I get a message of Acrobat IEHelper: iexplore.exe - Application Error 'The instruction at "0x1001ca87" referenced memory at "0x1001ca87". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program.'

What does it mean?

Mady 0 Junior Poster in Training

I couldn't find any file with the name NavExcel or NavHelper.

Still can't delete NavExcel program. When I try to remove it I get a message "Are you sure you wish to uninstall the NavExcel Search Toolbar with Popup Blocker?", I click yes, the message disappears but NavExcel is still there.

I do have some strange "Nav"s' as you can see in the file attached. Does it help?

Mady 0 Junior Poster in Training

I fixed th HJT as you said, but I cannot remove the Navexcel with the Add or Remove Programs. I click the remove butten but nothing happens.(see file attached).

As this is not my computer, I have to leave these programs for now. Hope I'll have permition to delete it later. The computer belongs to a 15 years old girl - so I believe that she uses these programs.

ChickenInvaders - is a game.

here, I'm back at last.

Well, I've been looking for the Show hidden files and folders and Hide protected operating system files, but they don't exist. How come?

Mady 0 Junior Poster in Training

I feel really stupid- I don't see Folder Options in the Tools menu......so I can't find the window you are talking about.:o

In the Menu bar across the top (File, Edit, etc.), click on Tools, click on Folder Options, click on the View tab, find Hidden files and folders and click on the circle next to Show hidden files and folders; go down a couple more lines and you'll find Hide protected operating system files, remove the check from this box.

Mady 0 Junior Poster in Training

Well, I've tried...
You wrote: "- Open Windows Explorer, and in the Folder Options->View settings under the Tools menu, select "show hidden files and folders", and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files".
How do I find Folder Options in the Windows Explorer?

Half of the programs still don't work. I can't update the WMI Update in Norton AV, even though I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. If I enter in the administrator setting, I can do nothing at all, even not writing here.
So it's wonderfull to have a clean computer, but it's not enough.
By the way, I keep having red massages from Norton that viruses were found, like this one:
Source: C:\WINNT\system32\wssdsfgsd.exe
Click for more information about this threat : W32.Spybot.Worm
I just have a feeling that it's better to format the computer. What do you think?
